Latest News CLUB PRESENTATION NIGHT - Saturday 15th May 2010      THANK YOU to those who helped at the Bag Packing days, we had some fun and raised over £1000.
CLUB HISTORY
Past, Present & Future (05/02/08)

THE PAST.....

For Phoenix City there is no past history, but for certain founding members and their supporters, an old and previous association with a previous club left a hugely successful working partnership completely untenable and persons looking for change.......

On April 1st 2006 a meeting was held and Phoenix City Football Club was formed. The Club immediately affiliated to Devon County Football Association, and applied for membership to The Devon Junior and Minor League. ALL obstacles placed in the way were overcome and conquered.

The name Phoenix derives from a new Club rising in the face of adversity, a name with no connection to the local area stresses that we will not discriminate on where the players come from. Players are welcome from all over the Plymouth area.

City - Is the City of Plymouth, and is at this time the only junior Club using this in its title.

We were awarded The Football Association Charter Standard Status in November of 2006 which is fantastic news for such a young organisation.

In May 2007 we were awarded the Plymouth City Council Accrediatation for Good Practice.

THE PRESENT.....

Today entering only our 4th season we have under 8's & 9's & 10's Mixed teams, 12's & 18's Boys, 11's, 13's & 15's Girls teams enjoying the 2009/10 season and a bright future built on mutual admiration and maybe more importantly trust.

We have a group of children (boys & girls) ranging from ages 6 - 10 years training hard and having fun.

THE FUTURE.....

Onwards and upwards we hope but who knows, but whatever is thrown at us we hope to achieve our goals in the knowledge that the best interests of the team and the players comes first.
